Pagoda
A sacred tower of several of several stories found in Burma, Chian, Korea, and Japan similar to a stupa or chedi. A Mahayana Buddhist temple in Vietnam.

Pali
The language of ancient India derived form Veic Sandkrit and used by Theravade Buddhists in their sacred texts.

Pediment
The triangular upper portion of a wall above the portico.

Phra
Sacred or holy; a title of respect used as a prefix for an ordained monk, venerated Buddha image, or object or member of the nobility.

Prasat
Palace for a king or god. In religious and secular architecture, the sanctuary tower represent Mt. Meru. In Thailand, prasat refers to the entire temple building. In Cambodia, the prasat hin, or stone palace, was popular.
